EWA Acquires Corelis Inc., a World Leader in the Field of
Boundary-Scan Testing, Programming and Emulation

Herndon, VA and Cerritos, CA (May 2, 2006) – EWA, Inc, a global provider of technology and engineering services to defense and commercial companies, announced today their acquisition of Corelis, Inc., a global leader in the growing market for JTAG-based test equipment and development tools for embedded applications used by the developers and manufacturers of complex electronics products.

 

Corelis will continue to operate under the Corelis name as a part of EWA Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of EWA, Inc. that is leading EWA’s rapid expansion into commercial markets. EWA Technologies is a leader in the market for JTAG-based emulation and development tools for digital signal processor (DSP) hardware and software, marketed under the Blackhawk™ brand.  

 

The combined companies will be a major global player in the application of the IEEE 1149.x standards (known as boundary-scan or JTAG) to state-of-the-art products that will support the design, prototyping and production of the next generation of complex technology products.
