Qualifications
Experienced EW professional with knowledge of the current IED threat. Testing background a plus. Must work well in senior staff settings and be able to provide insightful assessment of test methods and results. Strong speaking and writing skills required.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Description of Work
The JIEDDO (Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization) test office is responsible for the test and evaluation of equipment to counter IEDs. The office needs up to 3 people to provide expertise in electronic warfare and the current and projected threat. These people will create a road map for JIEDDO testing, will examine future threats, will apply EW knowledge to all aspects of JIEDDO, and will serve as the "brain trust" to advise senior JIEDDO officials on the utility of equipment developed to defeat IEDs. Work will be performed at EWA Crystal City. Travel is required.
